Cyrill Schreiber

Cyrill Schreiber (born December 12, 1983 in Walzenhausen AR) is a Swiss fistball player .

career

The 1.90 m tall Cyrill Schreiber grew up in the Appenzell Vorderland. He got to know the fistball game through his father, who was also a Swiss national player, and trained and played with junior teams in Widnau (U12), Heiden (U12) and Diepoldsau (U14 and U16).

Cyrill Schreiber plays in the position of batsman (front left) and his performance is particularly evident in powerful strokes when attacking and attacking, as well as defending against the net. Thanks to these strengths, he is one of the most famous fistball players both nationally and internationally, which has earned him the nickname "Fausto". He was part of the Swiss national team from 2002 to 2016 , where he made 91 international matches.

Schreiber has been a trainer at his “home club” STV Walzenhausen since 2013 . With his Fanion team he rose from the 1st league to the NLB in the 2014 field season and in 2015 achieved promotion to the top national league.
