Cyron Bjørn Melville (born July 1, 1984 on Djursland ) is a Danish film actor and musician .

Life

Cyron Melville is the son of the Scottish musician Johnny Melville and the Danish Elizabeth Bjørn Nielsen. He grew up on Djursland and attended compulsory schools in Grenaa . Melville got his first film role in 1995, at the age of eleven, in the film drama Menneskedyret , directed by Carsten Rudolf . After further smaller film roles, Melville's breakthrough followed in 2005 in the miniseries Jul i Valhal , in which he played Balder , the son of Odin , the father of the gods .

In one of his last film roles, Melville was in 2013 as Cardinal Alessandro Farnese, who later became Pope Paul III. to see in the television series The Borgias .

In addition to his acting career, Melville also pursued a career as a drummer ; so he was active for four years in the band of the musician Aura Dione . He starred in Dione's music video In Love With The World from 2012.

In addition to his native Danish , Cyron Melville also speaks fluent Swedish , English and German .

Awards

In 2009 he received the award as the most popular shooting star at the Berlinale . In 2010 he was nominated for the Bodil for his role in Fightgirl Ayşe .
