Czerwona (Groß Lassowitz)
Czerwona (German: Marienau ) is a hamlet in the municipality of Groß Lassowitz ( Lasowice Wielkie ), Opole Voivodeship , Poland . Czerwona stands out due to its unusual form of settlement as a round village . Czerwona lies between the places Grunowitz ( Gronowice ) and Schiorke ( Ciarka ).
history
According to the “Topographical Handbook of Upper Silesia”, the Marienau colony was founded in 1791 by Count von Hoym on the field of Klein Lassowitz . Colonists from Saxony were settled. To the Anger about 17 farms and on the green one were Ziehbrunnen .
