Czesława Kościańska
Czesława Helena Kościańska , after marriage to Szczepińska , (born May 22, 1959 in Tczew ) is a former Polish rower .
At the 1979 World Rowing Championships in Bled, the boat from the GDR with Ute Steindorf and Corneliaügel won the two without a helmsman in front of the Romanian boat, followed by the Polish women Małgorzata Dłużewska and Czesława Kościańska won the bronze medal. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, Ute Steindorf and Cornelia Klier (-Bügel) won with half a second ahead of the two Poles, behind which the boat from Bulgaria won the bronze medal ahead of the Romanians. In 1981 Dłużewska and Kościańska took fifth place at the World Championships in Munich . The following year, the two Polish women won silver at the World Championships in Lucerne behind Silvia Fröhlich and Marita Sandig from the GDR.
At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 she started as Czesława Szczepińska and finished eighth in the four with a helmsman . Together with Elwira Lorenz from the four-man from 1988, Czesława Szczepińska rowed in two without a helmsman to eighth place at the 1989 World Rowing Championships in Bled.
