Hans-Joachim Czub
Hans-Joachim Czub (born July 10, 1951 in Heikendorf ; † November 15, 2016 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .
education
Hans-Joachim Czub completed his legal training at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and then did his doctorate on the constitutional guarantees for the imposition of tax burdens .
Earlier career
In 1981 Czub entered the higher judicial service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . On April 15, 1983, Czub was appointed judge at the Hamburg Regional Court. Czub belonged to a civil and a criminal chamber before he moved to the Federal Court of Justice as a research assistant for three years in June 1986 .
On February 1, 1992, Czub was appointed judge at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg and at the same time seconded to the Federal Ministry of Justice . For three years there he mainly dealt with property law and property law issues that arose in the course of German reunification .
Activity for the Saxon judiciary
From June 1995 Hans-Joachim Czub worked for the Saxon State Ministry of Justice, among other things as head of the department for administrative law as well as for unification-related questions of property, obligation and property law. In addition, Czub dealt with legislation on issues relating to administrative and professional rehabilitation. In mid-July 1995, Czub moved to the Saxon state service while being appointed Ministerialrat .
In 1999, Czub's department was responsible for all substantive civil and commercial law, including supervision, land register, estate and register law, labor law, press law, media and broadcasting law, as well as official and state liability law. In 2000, Czub was appointed presiding judge of the 21st Civil Senate and the Senate for Agricultural Matters at the Dresden Higher Regional Court.
With his work, according to Sebastian Gemkow , Saxon State Minister of Justice on November 17, 2016, Hans-Joachim Czub “ helped shape the establishment of the Free State [Saxony] after the Peaceful Revolution .” “The Free State of Saxony is Dr. Thank you very much to Czub. "
Judge at the Federal Court of Justice
On May 10, 2005, Hans-Joachim Czub was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice by the then Federal President Horst Köhler and was assigned by the Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice to the V Civil Senate , which is primarily responsible for legal disputes in the areas of property law, condominium law and neighboring law .
In addition, Czub had been a member of the Senate for Agricultural Matters at the Federal Court of Justice since July 1, 2005, of which he became Deputy Chairman in November 2014.
Since 2014, Czub has been a full member of the Senate for Agricultural Matters and a deputy member of the Great Senate for Civil Matters for the Fifth Civil Senate of the Federal Court of Justice as well as a delegate to the Joint Senate of the highest federal courts .
During his eleven years at the Federal Court of Justice, Hans-Joachim Czub played a key role in shaping the case law of the 5th Civil Senate and the Senate for Agricultural Matters.
Czub would likely have retired at the end of 2016.
Private life
Hans-Joachim Czub died on November 15, 2016 at the age of 65 after a short, serious illness. Czub was buried on November 28, 2016 in the Johannisfriedhof in Dresden-Tolkewitz .
Until his death, Czub was married to Renate Czub , presiding judge of the 5th Chamber of the Dresden Administrative Court.
