The Dürrboden is an alp and is located in the rear Dischma south of Davos in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland . The hamlet is located on a historic mule route, the " Via Valtellina ", on which wine from the Valtellina was brought to the north via the Scalettapass .

The paths from the Scalettapass and the Grialetschpass meet here in the rearmost valley floor of the Dischma . Today a road leads to the alp. There is a parking lot at the end of the street. In summer the Alp is served by a bus.

There is a historic mountain inn on the Alp, which was expanded with a new building in the 1970s. The mountain inn is open in summer and operates an SOS telephone in winter, as mobile phone reception is limited in the valley.

Approaches

The Dürrboden can be reached by bus or car in summer. A hiking trail leads from Davos along the Dischmabach . The road is closed in winter. The valley is suitable for snowshoe tours, but you should watch out for the danger of avalanches .
