The Dürrmiesing is the eastern summit of the Miesingstock, which separates mightily north of the Rotwand . In contrast to the neighboring summit to the west, the Hochmiesing , the Dürrmiesing can only be reached without a path.

It is designated as a forest and game sanctuary , which ski tourers and snowshoeers should not enter.
