The Hochmiesing is a 1,883 m high mountain in the Schlierseer Mountains in the Mangfall Mountains in the Bavarian Prealps . The summit can be reached as an easy, but less frequented mountain hike than the neighboring Rotwand, from the Spitzingsattel over the saddle between Rauhkopf and Taubenstein (ascent: 2 hours 20 minutes, descent 2 hours, 950 meters in altitude) or from Osterhofen . The summit cross was renewed in 1995.

The summit area is quite extensive, flat, and densely covered with mountain pines , but offers a distant view in all directions. The transition to the neighboring Dürrmiesing to the east is uncomfortable and extremely seldom used because of the dense mountain pine vegetation .
