history
The area of Hittnau and the outer guard Dürstelen, Isikon, Hasel, Schönau and Hofhalden were already settled in Alemannic times. In the Middle Ages the place belonged to the County of Kyburg .
Culture and leisure
The school, which existed until 1998, has since been closed. Dürstelen is best known for the golf course, which is one of the largest and most beautiful in Switzerland. In winter, cross-country ski trails and toboggan runs are created on the site. The course, located in the Zurich Oberland , is operated by the Golf and Country Club Hittnau-Zurich.
