Dębieńsko is a village in the powiat Rybnicki in the Silesian Voivodeship , Poland . Since 1977 the village has been a part of Czerwionka-Leszczyny .

geography

Dębieńsko is located 4 km northeast of Czerwionka-Leszczyny and 24 km southwest of Katowice on the Jordanek River . It is located on the southern edge of the Upper Silesian Plate.

The A1 motorway runs through the village .

history

Knight Egidio de Damb received the rights to the land from Duke Wladislaus I and in 1255 he was given permission to build a village. 1306 a settlement with the name Damb is mentioned. There has been a church in the village since 1335.

In 1775 Dębieńsko became an independent municipality. It lost this status in 1973 and then became part of Czerwionka-Leszczyny in 1977.
