D'Arcy Carden

D'Arcy Carden (born Darcy Erokan on January 4, 1980 in Danville , California , United States ) is an American actress and comedian .

Life

Darcy Erokan was born on January 4th, 1980 in Danville, California, United States. Her father , Dennis Erokan, played in the local community theater and started a music magazine called BAM . She has two sisters and one brother. Darcy added the spelling of her name an apostrophe added than in the junior high school was to D'arcy Wretzky from the band The Smashing Pumpkins imitate.

In 1998 she graduated from San Ramon Valley High School and studied fine arts at Southern Oregon University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree .

Carden is married to producer Jason Carden . They have been living together in Los Angeles since 2016 .

Career

After graduating, she moved to New York , where a friend invited her to an improvisational comedy show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater . She liked this so much that she continued to work with the group. She started doing it in 2004, and later went on tour and can be seen in the UCB Comedy Originals. She later got several acting roles in short films and smaller sitcoms, as well as other comedy programs. She gained further notoriety in 2016 for the role as Janet in the series The Good Place , which was published in several languages.
