DJ Maaki (born December 15, 1992 ) is a former Nauruan boxer .

life and career

At the Naoero Games in November 2009 Maaki won the gold medal in the class up to 58 kilograms in the fight against Sumich Detenamo. In 2010, the Nauruer took part in several international flyweight competitions up to 51 (youth) and 52 kilograms (seniors):

At the Boxing Ocean Championships Maaki won the silver medal among four participants, at the Summer Youth Olympic Games he became the first and to date only Olympic medalist Naurus by winning the silver medal among six participants . At the Pacific Games in 2011 in Noumea (New Caledonia), he did not take part in spite message.

In December 2017 Maaki trained the Kosrae Boxing Club in Tofol on Kosrae ( Federated States of Micronesia ). He comes from the Aiwo district and is married to Brishka Ribauw.
