DJ Blackskin (* 2. October 1982 as Oliver Wohlrab in Kassel ) is a hip-hop - and R'n'B - DJ from Vellmar near Kassel.

He became known in 2007 for his single Let The Music Play , which made it into the Top 100 of the German music charts and number 3 on the German Black Charts. His single Tooty Frooty made it to number 2 in the German Black Charts .

history

Blackskin began his career in 2000 as a DJ in various Kassel discos and clubs. Just two years later it was booked nationwide and also played at events in Schweinfurt , which made it more popular.

According to his own statements, he has been one of the most booked black music DJs in Germany since 2004, until three years later he made it to number 73 in the German single charts with his single Let The Music Play .

In 2008 he was named by Detlef D! Soost was invited to the Popstars final, where he appeared with six selected singles. Just a year later, Blackskin founded his own music label with his company Clubstarz Entertainment .

Trivia

Blackskin is very interested in ice hockey and as a child had the dream of playing in the National Hockey League . Although this dream was denied him, he is a sympathizer of the Kassel Huskies from the German Ice Hockey League . For the finals of the 2007/08 season he produced a song entitled "Huskies Jump Off 2008", which was heard at the home games of the "Sled Dogs" and should express his aid in winning the second division championship.
