DJ Herzbeat (* 1985 or 1986 ; actually Christoph Breier ) is a German DJ who is mainly active in the Schlager genre . He and Sarah Lombardi had a hit in 2019 with the cover version Weekend , which is originally from Earth & Fire .

Life

Breier became enthusiastic about Schlager at an early age and discovered bands and artists such as Die Flippers , Wolfgang Petry and Marianne Rosenberg in his father's record collection . Later he discovered techno from artists like Paul Kalkbrenner , Richie Hawtin and Chris Liebing and began to mix these two styles he favored.

He began as a DJ in discos such as Ritter Butzke and Musik & Frieden , among others together with Nina Queer . In 2019 he signed with Universal Music .

40 years after it was first published, he wrote a club version for the Earth & Fire title Weekend with the Madizin production team . As a singer he engaged Sarah Lombardi . With the single, the two performed at the Schlagerfest Alle singen Kaiser - Das große Schlagerfest by Florian Silbereisen . The single was released on March 15, 2019 and reached number 83 in the German charts.

His debut album Dancefieber was released on June 12, 2020.
