Christoph Liebing (* 11. December 1968 in Giessen ) is a German techno - DJ , producer , label operators and radio host . He significantly coined the scene term Schranz .

Life

Liebing played at dance events such as the Love Parade , Mayday , Nature One , Rave On Snow and Time Warp . In 1996 he founded the German technology label Fine Audio Recordings , on which several of his productions as well as his debut album Early Works from 2002 were released. Until 1998 he played regularly in the Omen discotheque in Frankfurt am Main. In June 2003 his second album Evolution was released on his label CLR .

In the Frankfurt Club U60311 , Liebing organized its own series of parties called It's Friday Aaaaabend . He was a resident DJ in the former club Stammheim Kassel . Together with Pauli Steinbach, he presented the program Pitchcontrol on the radio station Hr XXL from August 2000 to 2003 .

At the end of 2001 Chris Liebing was nominated in four categories at the German Dance Awards and won the award for “Best Producer” and “Best DJ Mix Compilation”. At the German Dance Awards 2003 he was awarded the title of best national DJ .

Together with Speedy J they produce various techno pieces under the name Collabs . Both appear regularly together.

On October 23, 2010 Liebing was a candidate for the game show Schlag den Raab , but did not get beyond the so-called "round of introductions".

In 2015, Liebing stated in an interview that he is vegan .
