DJ Rush
DJ Rush (* 1970 in Chicago , actually: Isaiah Major ) is an American techno - DJ and music producer .
In Chicago's burgeoning house scene, DJ Rush quickly took a liking to electronic music . He made his first appearances as a DJ in the Music Box, the Powerhouse, the Stammheim and the legendary warehouse , where he stood behind the turntables for up to ten hours at a time. At the same time, he started producing his own creations in his bedroom.
In 1991 Rush released his first single ( Knee 'Deep ) on the Trax Records label . His productions became increasingly minimal and harder and he began to gain a foothold in London and Berlin . He came under contract with Force Inc. Music Works and Djax up Beats , among others .
In 1998 DJ Rush made his European breakthrough with the record Motherfucking Bass . In 2001 he replaced Jeff Mills as the most popular DJ in the readers' polls for Groove magazine .
Rush also made numerous remixes, e.g. B. for Elektrochemie LK , DJ Bam Bam , Speedy J , DJ Urban , Mario Ranieri , Miss Djax or Felix Kröcher .
He is considered a pioneer of today's hard techno , although he has never identified himself with it. He calls his style Hard Energy himself .
