DJ Smoove , whose real name is André Schmidt , (* 10. December 1980 ; † 15. February 2018 ) was a hip-hop - DJ and music producer from Bamberg .

He produced, among others, for Automatikk , Architekt, Kool Savas , Xavier Naidoo , Xavas , Laas Unltd. and Fard . Most recently, DJ Smoove was under contract with Edition Optik / Sony / ATV Music Publishing.

DJ Smoove received a gold record for the album Aura by Kool Savas , which entered the media control charts at first place , as well as for his number 1 collaboration album Split personality with Xavier Naidoo . In December 2012 he was also presented with a platinum record for the Xavas project .
