D: Project was a Christian rock / pop - band , which in 2002 Dresden was founded.

history

In 2002 the three brothers Nathanael, Daniel and Benjamin Wendt got together with their friends Stephan Hübler and Christoph Uschner to rehearse a few songs. In contrast to previous projects, they decided to sing German lyrics, which is what their name (stands for German project ) is based on. A few months after the band was founded, they had already rehearsed ten songs, and at the end of 2002 they performed in front of 25,000 people at the Christival in Kassel.

In 2003 they released their first single Whenever you want . After many concerts in Germany, [d: projekt] won third place at the East German music competition f6 Music Award . The now better known single made it into the NRJ charts thanks to this success . In 2004 D: Projekt produced the theme song for the Bobsleigh World Championships, which was broadcast worldwide. Magazines such as the Christian youth magazine Teensmag or the YOU! -Magazin mentioned the Dresden group, and in 2005 D: Projekt had its first TV appearance on MDR . In 2006 the first album [d: projekt] was released . Due to health problems, Christoph Uschner had to leave the band in 2008.

After 14 years, the band broke up in October 2016. This was justified with other activities of the band members. Some of the musicians are involved in the follow-up project Bye Bye Goliath .
