The umbrella organization for Budotechniken NW has been participating in public events since it was founded in 1982. The various professional associations presented themselves to a broad audience and in this way advertised their Budo discipline.

Together with the LandesSportBund NRW and other sports associations, the umbrella association for Budotechniken NW presented itself in the 1990s at the “aktiv leben” trade fair in Düsseldorf, where visitors could try out various Budo disciplines in hands-on activities.

Even when organized sport was integrated at the YOU youth fair and official celebrations for the anniversary "60 years of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia" were celebrated in 2007, the umbrella association for Budotechniken NW with its professional associations took part in various forms and demonstrated the diversity of Budo.
