Dadaj (until 1945 German: Daddaisee ) is a channel lake of 1002 hectares in the tributary of the river Alle in the center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Lake Dadaj is located four kilometers west of the town of Biskupiec in the eastern part of the Olsztyn Lake District ( Pojezierze Olsztyńskie ). The landscape belongs to the Baltic ridge .

geology

The landscape was shaped by the ice sheet and is a post-glacial, hilly, wooded ground moraine with numerous channel lakes and rivers.

Literary setting

The writer Artur Becker wrote about the Dadajsee in the novels Der Dadajsee and Vodka and Messer - Song of Drowning .
