Dag Strpić

Dag Strpić (born April 30, 1946 in Zagreb , † October 6, 2013 in Vukova Gorica , Netretić municipality , Croatia ) was a Croatian political scientist.

Life

He studied political science at the University of Zagreb from 1965 to 1971 . He then worked as an assistant or lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb, where he received his doctorate in 1991 with a thesis on commodity production and an associated work in Marx 's › Critique of Political Economy . From 1999 he was an associate professor and from 2005 a full professor. He mainly dealt with the field of political economy .

In addition, he worked for various newspapers and magazines, including in 1970 editor-in-chief of Studentski List (student newspaper) and from 1985 to 1989 editor-in-chief of Naše teme magazine (our topics). In the last years of his life he wrote a weekly column for the newspaper Novi list .

From 1969 to 1970 he was president of the Savez studenata Hrvatske (Union of Students of Croatia). In 1990 he was chairman of the SKH-SDP party in Zagreb for a few months .
