Uljoty ( Russian Улёты ) is a village (selo) in the Transbaikalia region in Russia with 6061 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 100 km as the crow flies southwest of the regional capital Tschita . It is located southeast of the Jablonowy Mountains on the left bank of the Ingoda .
Uljoty is the administrative center of the Rajons Uljotowski and seat of the rural community Uljotowskoje selskoje posselenije, also (west 8 km) is one of the village Balsoi.
history
The village was first mentioned in 1788. Since 1926 it has been the administrative seat of a Rajon.

traffic
The M55 trunk road , which connects Irkutsk to Chita via Ulan-Ude and is part of the transcontinental road link, passes northwest of Ulyoty .
