Nizhny Zassutschei ( Russian: Ни́жний Цасуче́й ) is a village (selo) in the Transbaikalia region in Russia with 3363 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 200 km as the crow flies southeast of the regional capital Chita in the steppe area of the South Daurian , on the right bank of the Onon , which forms several arms a few kilometers apart . It is located about 40 km from the border with Mongolia .
Nizhny Zassutschei is the administrative center of the Rajons Ononski and seat and only town in the rural community Nischnezassutscheiskoje selskoje posselenije. Almost immediately to the west of the place ("Unter- / Nieder-Zassutschei") is the smaller village Werchni Zassutschei ("Ober-Zassutschei").
The administration of the Daurian nature reserve is located in Nizhny Zassutschei .
history
The village emerged from a border post of the Russian Empire established in 1727 . In 1941 Nizhny Zassutschei became the administrative seat of a Rajon.

Nizhny Zassutschei is located on a regional road between yasnogorsk and Scherlowaja Gora from the highway A350 Chita - Zabaikalsk (border with the People's Republic of China branches) and the Onon up to the village of Nowy Durulgui leads. In a north-westerly direction, a road branches off to the west of Nizhny Zassutschei to Aginskoye , also on the A350.
