Dagfinn Ingolf Bakke (born August 16, 1933 in Lødingen , Norway ; † January 1, 2019 in Svolvær , Norway) was a Norwegian painter , caricaturist and illustrator . His signature was " DAN ".

Life

Dagfinn Bakke designed a number of books and magazines and was a regular draftsman for Lofotposten from 1956 to 1992 . As an illustrator , he worked particularly with humorous illustrations in watercolor and ink . As a visual artist, he made watercolors and graphics. His works are exhibited at home and abroad. a. in the National Museum Oslo , which has bought and is exhibiting some works. He drew the drawings in Arthur Arntzen's Oluf series . In 2015 he received the Petter Dass Medal from the Nordic Association. Some of his works are exhibited on MS Finnmarken.

Bakke grew up in Kanstadbotn in Lødingen and lived and worked in Svolvær.
