Dagmar Neukirch (born August 10, 1972 in Freiberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been State Secretary in the Saxon State Ministry for Social Affairs and Social Cohesion since December 2019. Before that she was a member of the Saxon State Parliament from 2009 to January 2020 .

Life

Neukirch attended a polytechnic high school from 1979 to 1989 and then a grammar school in her home town of Freiberg until 1992. After completing her Abitur, she devoted herself to studying social sciences in the subjects of sociology, social policy, economics and social law at the University of Göttingen. She graduated in 1999 with a degree in social economics. Since February 2000 she has been working as a parliamentary advisor for the SPD parliamentary group in the Saxon state parliament.

Since 2010 Neukirch has been deputy chairwoman of the Landesfrauenrat Sachsen eV, since 2008 board member and since 2010 deputy chairwoman of AWO Kreisverband Dresden eV, since 2009 member of Aktion Zivilcourage eV In addition, she was active for Amnesty International during her studies .

She lives in Dresden with her partner and three children .

politics

Neukirch has been a member of the SPD since 2004. In the state elections in 2009 , she entered the Saxon state parliament via the SPD's state list . She is a member of the Committee for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection and spokeswoman for her group in the areas of social affairs and health as well as family and senior citizens.

On November 24, 2014 she was elected parliamentary manager of the SPD state parliamentary group. After being appointed State Secretary, she resigned her state parliament mandate in January 2020. For she moved Volkmar Winkler after.
