Dagmara Kowalska

Dagmara Kowalska (born December 30, 1976 in Krapkowice ) is a Polish handball trainer and former handball player . She made 105 international matches for Poland.

Career

The 1.80 m tall player played for the Polish clubs JKS Jaroslaw, Montex Lublin and Zaglebie Lubin. She then moved to Spain to Akaba Bera Bera San Sebastian. From 2006 to 2008 Kowalska was under contract with the German Bundesliga club VfL Oldenburg , with whom she won the EHF Challenge Cup in 2008. From summer 2008 she played for SC Markranstädt and after its bankruptcy in 2009 moved to Borussia Dortmund . She played in the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga with Dortmund's first women's team . In February 2014 she also took over the second BVB women's team on an interim basis. After the 2013/14 season, Kowalska became player-coach of the second women's team and also looked after the Dortmund A youth team. At the beginning of 2015 she made another comeback for Borussia's first team.

Kowalska took over the top division TV Aldekerk for the 2015/16 season . Under her leadership, Aldekerk rose to the 3rd division in 2016 . From the 2016/17 season she also trained the A-youth from TV Aldekerk. From the 2018/19 season to January 2020, she coached the second division TV Beyeröhde .
