Dahi Chalfan Tamim

Dahi Chalfan Tamim ( Arabic ضاحي خلفان تميم, DMG Ḍāḥī Ḫalfān Tamīm ; * October 1, 1951 ; also: Dhahi Khalfan Tamim ) is the police chief of the Emirate of Dubai . He has the rank of lieutenant general .

Tamim studied at the Royal Police College in Amman in 1970 . In 1979 he became Deputy Police Chief of Dubai. For his services Tamim was awarded the Order of Merit First Class ("Service Order of First Class") and the Medal of First Class ("Appreciation Medal of First Class") by Crown Prince Hamdan bin Raschid Al Maktum .

In 1980 he was promoted to Chief of Police in Dubai. He took over the investigation into the murder of Mahmud al-Mabhuh in early 2010 .

Tamim is also President of the e-TQM College at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University . He lives in Jumeirah with his wife and five children .
