Johannes Herwig-Lempp

Johannes Herwig-Lempp (* 1957 ) is a German social work scientist and systemic social worker.

Life

The son of a bookseller couple studied social pedagogy at the University of Bremen from 1980 to 1984 and then spent a year in Oslo with a grant from the Norwegian Foreign Ministry . From 1987 to 1990 he took part in further training in systemic counseling and therapy at the International Society for Systemic Therapy in Heidelberg and from 1991 to 1994 in further training in supervision at the Diakonische Akademie Stuttgart . In 1993 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. with a thesis on " Drug addiction as an explanatory principle - drug users as subjects ".

Fields of activity

After studying social pedagogy, Herwig-Lempp gained professional experience in accepting drug work, in the social psychiatric service and in social pedagogical family support . Since 1998 he has been a professor in the field of social work science / systemic social work at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and was responsible for the master's degree in "systemic social work", which was held for the first time in 2009. He also offers advanced training, works as a supervisor, team developer and coach and advises individuals, couples and families . From 2006 to 2014 he was responsible for the development and establishment of the practical research project Lotse e. V. , a complaints and mediation office for children , young people and adults in Halle (Saale) as a member of the advisory group and as a board member . He is on the advisory boards of the magazines Familiendynamik, magazine for systemic therapy and advice and context , author of specialist publications on systemic social work and teamwork , reviewer and initiator of specialist conferences on systemic social work. He is also researching the women's rights activist, poor worker and social politician Luise Kiesselbach (1863–1929).

Services

Johannes Herwig-Lempp is considered to be one of the main representatives of the systemic-constructivist approach in social work and an expert in the transfer of systemic-resource-oriented therapy and counseling practice into social work and social education . In addition, he played a leading role in the development of Germany's first master's degree in " Systemic Social Work ", which took place in three courses from 2009 to 2018 at the Merseburg University of Applied Sciences.
