Daiva Batytė (born August 22, 1980 in Plungė ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

Batytė studied at the Plungė Chess School and is a member of the Plungės visuomeninis šachmatų klubas “Bokštas” chess club . Your trainer was Vitalius Vladas Andriušaitis . In 2004 and 2015 she won the Lithuanian women's individual championship ; She was runner-up in 2002, 2007, 2016 and 2018. With the Lithuanian women's team she took part in the Chess Olympiad in 2000 , 2004 , 2006 and 2016 and in the European Team Championships in 2007 and 2015 .

Batytė lives in Vienna . Since 2013 she has been an instructor and trainer at the Frau Schach women's chess club in Vienna . In the 2015/16 season Batytė played in the Austrian 2nd Bundesliga East for SV Stockerau and in the Austrian Women's Bundesliga as a guest player for champions ASVÖ Pamhagen . In the 2018/19 season she again won the Austrian women's team championship with Pamhagen, and in the 2019/20 season she played in the women's Bundesliga for the Steyr syndicate . In Lithuania she played for ŠK Margiris Kaunas , with whom she took part in the 1999 European Women's Club Cup .
