Dalbke (Kalletal)

Dalbke is a district of the Lippe municipality of Kalletal in the northeast of North Rhine-Westphalia .

It is located in the northern municipality about halfway between the places Hohenhausen (capital of the municipality) and Langenholzhausen immediately west of the hiking area around the mountains Rotenberg , Bärenkopf , Habichtsberg and Wihupsberg . The place lies in the valley of the Westerkalle and the Bentorfer Bach as well as on the northern edge of the "Lipper Hügelland" and is only 6 km away from the Weser.

The next big city is Bielefeld approx. 30 km away.

history

The courtyard in the village is a listed building and, with its six half-timbered houses, has a 500-year history. In 1719 the principality of Lippe Detmold granted the farm the water rights to operate a water wheel. When the farm was connected to electricity in 1920, the mill lost its importance. Since 1986, the mill and other buildings on the farm have been restored by the owners in consultation with the Office for Monument Preservation.
