Talle is a district of the municipality of Kalletal in the district of Lippe , North Rhine-Westphalia . The mountain village is at the foot of the Bonstapels .

history

Talle is first mentioned in writing in 1221.

The name Talle is probably derived from the Celtic-Germanic word "Tala", which means "water".

Since January 1st 1969 Talle belongs to the municipality of Kalletal.

Buildings

Evangelical Reformed Parish Church in Talle (Petruskirche)

The landmark of the village is the Petruskirche , whose early Romanesque west tower dates from the 11th century. The double-nave , late Gothic hall church was built from 1482 to 1492.

There are 42 gravestones from the period between 1683 and 1866 on the church and churchyard wall.

The nearby Gut Röntgenorf belongs to the village. Princess Godela spent a large part of her life there.

The majority of the population in Talle, as in the entire Lippe region, is Protestant-Reformed . The Evangelical Reformed parish in Talle also includes the districts of Bavenhausen, Osterhagen, Rentorf, Talle and Waterloo as well as the Lemgo districts of Brüntorf, Kirchheide, Matorf and Welstorf and the Bad Salzufler district of Pillenbruch. In addition, the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church Community of St. Michaelis in Talle has existed since 1927 .

Sports

TuS Talle von 1923 eV is the local sports club with departments for football, basketball, gymnastics and Nordic walking.

Personalities

Former Federal Chancellor Gerhard Schröder attended elementary school in Talle, where he played soccer at TuS Talle. There he got his nickname "Acker".
