Kalldorf is a district of the municipality of Kalletal in the Lippe district . The deepest point of the place at 48 m above sea level is also the deepest point in the Kalletal. There the Kalle flows into the Weser .
history
In the vicinity of Kalldorf, barrows from the late Bronze Age around 700 BC testify to an early Germanic settlement.
In 1232, Kalldorf was first mentioned in writing as Callenthorp . In the 13th century, the area of Kalldorf was largely owned by the Knights of Callendorp, who gave the village its name. In 1453 a glassworks was built in Kalldorf , in 1603 a paper mill followed, which was in operation until 1928, and in 1779 an oil mill which was in operation until 1930.
Kalldorf also includes the settlements Winterberg , Faulensiek , Steinegge , Niedernmühle and Farmke .
Kalldorf was incorporated into the municipality of Kalletal on January 1, 1969 by the Lemgo Act .
