Dallas - How it all began shows the beginnings (from 1933 to the early 1950s) of John Ross "Jock" Ewing, Eleanor "Miss Ellie" Southworth Ewing and Willard "Digger" Barnes.
The film begins with JR Ewing, who is interviewed by a reporter about the Barnes-Ewing enmity, and is about the love triangle Jock - Ellie - Digger, the origin of the long and ongoing feud between Jock Ewing and Digger Barnes and the creation of the legendary Ewing Oil Empire.
In addition to Jock's brother Jason and Ellie's father Aaron, Jock's first marriage to Amanda Lewis and Ellie's relationship with her brother Garrison and her mother Barbara are told.
