Dalziel Ridge is the main western ridge of the Columbia Mountains in Palmerland in the south of the Antarctic Peninsula .
The United States Geological Survey mapped him in 1974. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after the British geologist Ian William Drummond Dalziel (* 1937) of Columbia University who served several times in the late 1960s and 1970s as a senior scientist of the United States Antarctic Research Program , the area around the island arc Scotia Ridge in the Scotia Sea was investigated.
