José Damián Barcos (born June 11, 1981 in San Carlos de Bariloche ) is an Argentine biathlete .

Damián Barcos lives and trains in San Carlos de Bariloche. The married soldier and trained electrical engineer starts for Club de Montaña Cazadores de los Andes and is trained by Carlos Gaston Fanti. The Argentine made his international debut in 2003 in Ridnaun in the Biathlon European Cup and finished 107th in the sprint. In 2006 he got his best place in the racing series with a 50th place in the Altenberg sprint . The following season Barcos also made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup and was 116th of a sprint in Hochfilzen . He achieved his best results in the World Cup at the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz with a 91st place in the individual and a 98th place in the sprint. He started in August 2010 at the Biathlon South American Championships in Portillo and his home town of Bariloche. In the championship, which was held as a racing series, Barcos finished fifth in the individual and fourth in the sprint and mass start races in Portillo. In the sprint race in Bariloche he was fourth again. He also finished fourth in the overall standings, which only included three of the four races.
