Career

In 2000, Kabengele signed his first professional contract with Montpellier HB . With this team he won the French championship in 2002-2006, the French Cup in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006, as well as the EHF Champions League as the highlight in 2003 . Because he hardly got a chance at Montpellier HB mostly behind Nikola Karabatić , he moved to RK Zagreb in the summer of 2006 , where he did not manage, however, so that in January 2007 he moved to Eintracht Hildesheim in the 1st handball league . Here Kabengele flourished, scored over 100 goals in the second half of the season, but couldn't prevent Eintracht Hildesheim's relegation. From summer 2007 to summer 2010 he played for SC Magdeburg . From 2010 to 2013 Kabengele played handball for Toulouse . After the contract was terminated, he played for al-Ahli SC . For the 2013/14 season, Kabengele moved again to Eintracht Hildesheim. After several injuries, he had his contract terminated before the end of the season.

In the summer of 2014, Kabengele took over as coach at the French club HBC Château-Renard.
