Damnation is an American drama series directed by Tony Tost .

action

The series, which set in the 1930s, follows a man who poses as a local preacher but who in fact rallies city dwellers to rise up against industrialists and part of the government.

background

The series is based on a strike by the US Farmers' Holiday Association movement in the early 1930s . The locations in the series are based on the area around Plymouth County, Iowa .

The German-language dubbing of the series was created at Studio Hamburg Synchron GmbH under the dialogue book by Engelbert von Nordhausen, Sunke Janssen and Roman Kretschmer. Engelbert von Nordhausen also directed the dialogue with Karin Grüger.

production

The series was a co-production between Universal Cable Productions and Netflix . While the series was broadcast in the US by USA Network , Netflix took over the international broadcast outside the US.

Originally, Aden Young was supposed to play the role of Preacher Seth. Due to artistic differences, however, he was replaced by Killian Scott .

On January 25, 2018, USA Network announced that the series would be canceled after just one season.
