Sarah Jones (born July 17, 1983 in Winter Springs , Florida ) is an American actress .

life and career

Sarah Jones was born in July 1983 in Winter Springs , a small town in the US state of Florida . In 2001 she graduated from high school there. Jones had her first appearances as a guest actress in various television series and television films such as Medical Investigation , Cold Case - No Victim Is Ever Forgotten , Huff - Ready for the Couch , Sixty Minute Man and Alles Betty! . From 2006 to 2007, she had a supporting role as Brynn in nine episodes of the HBO series Big Love . In 2007 she starred as Danya Rosovitch in the Hallmark Channel television film Murder 101: College Can Be Murder , before starring as the youngest of three sisters who work together as wedding planners on the short-lived dramedy series The Wedding Bells . Also in 2007 she appeared in the independent films The Blue Hour and Still Green , for which she and the rest of the cast won the Spirit of the Independent Award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in the Best Ensemble category. Smaller roles in television series and films such as The Riches , Love Takes , Sons of Anarchy , Dr. House and Red & Blue Marbles .

In January 2012, the US broadcaster Fox began broadcasting the Alcatraz mystery series with Jones in the lead role of Rebecca Madsen . The initially well-started series lost over half of its audience in the following weeks, so that the station Fox discontinued the series after just one season. A few months later she received the lead role of Mia Rizzo in the CBS - crime drama Vegas . In this role she was seen from September 2012 to May 2013.
