John Logan Marshall-Green (born November 1, 1976 in Charleston , South Carolina ) is an American actor .

Life

John Marshall-Green grew up with his mother Lowry Marshall and twin brother Taylor in Rhode Island , where he also attended high school . He then began to study at the University of Tennessee , but later moved to New York University .

In addition to film appearances, Marshall-Green had guest appearances in series such as Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit . In 2005 he played two slightly larger supporting roles in 24 and OC, California . In 2007 he got a leading role in the ABC television series Traveler , which was discontinued after eight episodes.

He was in a relationship with actress Anna Paquin until 2005 , and later he was with Kelli Garner . In January 2013, the media reported that he had become engaged to actress Marisa Tomei , which she denied. He is married to actress Diane Marshall-Green (née Gurich). In April 2014, the couple announced the birth of their son. Marshall-Green is friends with actors Ian Somerhalder and America Ferrera .
