Dan Houser

Dan Houser (born May 24, 1974 in London ) is a British computer game developer and co-founder of the Rockstar Games development studio . As a writer, he was responsible for the plot of Red Dead Redemption , Red Dead Redemption 2 and the video game series Grand Theft Auto .

Life

Houser founded a subsidiary of Take 2 Interactive , Rockstar Games, in 1998 with Terry Donovan, his brother Sam Houser , Jamie King and Gary J. Foreman . Houser had previously worked on Take 2 Interactive. He is vice president of Rockstar Games. Dan Houser has worked as a screenwriter and producer on several games in the Grand Theft Auto series . In 2009, he and his brother Sam were ranked among the 100 most important game developers of all time by the US online game magazine IGN .

The story of Rockstar Games and the career of the Houser brothers was filmed by BBC with the TV movie The Gamechangers (2015), in which Dan Houser is played by Ian Attard.

He left Rockstar Games on March 11, 2020 after a long break.
