Daniel Austrich

Daniel Austrich ( Russian Даниил Евгеньевич Австрих Daniil Evgenjewitsch Awstrich ; * 1984 in Leningrad ) is a Russian violinist, violist, teacher, and conductor.

Live and act

At the age of 7, Austrich entered the special music school of the St. Petersburg Conservatory . From 1999 to 2001 he studied at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater and then at the Conservatory of Music in Oberlin / Ohio (USA).

Austrich works particularly as a chamber musician . His partners include David Geringas , Itzhak Perlman , Nobuko Imai , Antoine Tamestit , Renaud Capucon , Pavel Gililov , Olga Scheps , Julian Steckel , and Andrei Baranow . He also worked on CD recordings with José Carreras and the St. Petersburg String Quartet .

Since moving to Germany in 1997, Austrich has won prizes at the International Beethoven Competition in Austria, the International Pablo de Sarasate Competition in Spain and the International Moscow Paganini Competition.

In 2012 Austrich joined the Michelangelo String Quartet .
