Andrei Vladimirovich Baranov
Andrei Wladimirowitsch Baranow ( Russian Андрей Владимирович Баранов ; * 1986 in Leningrad , Soviet Union ) is a Russian violinist and concertmaster .
Live and act
Baranov began playing the violin at the age of five. From 2005 to 2009 studied at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory with Lev Ivashchenko, Vladimir Ovcharek and Pavel Popov and then at the Conservatoire de Lausanne with Pierre Amoyal, among others . He also completed master classes with Boris Kuschnir , Kim Kashkashian and Liana Issakadze . He has won international competitions such as the Concours Musical Reine Elisabeth , the International Benjamin Britten Competition in London and the International Violin Competition Henri Marteau as well as numerous other competitions such as the International David Oistrakh Competition and the International Pagagnini Competition in Moscow.
Baranov has performed in Europe and China with major orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , the Belgian National Orchestra ( Orchester National de Belgique ), the St. Petersburg Philharmonic , the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater , the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and worked there with artists such as Martha Argerich , Julian Rachlin , Teodor Currentzis , Juri Temirkanow , Vladimir Fedossejew , Walter Weller and Vasily Petrenko .
Baranow was co-founder in 2012 and has been 1st violinist of the David Oistrakh Quartet ( Dawid Oistrakh Sting Quartet) since then .
He played various important instruments such as the ex- Milstein violin by Ansaldo Poggi , which was made available to him by the Japanese Munetsugu Hall Foundation , and from 2012 to 2015 the “Huggins” Stradivarius from 1708 on loan from the Nippon Music Foundation .
