Daniel Benkert

Daniel Benkert (* 1969 in Mainz ) is professor of civil law as well as German and international labor and commercial law at the private German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn and a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main .

Life

Daniel Benkert studied law at the Universities of Konstanz and Ferrara as well as at the Administrative University of Speyer . After the two state examinations, he worked as a research assistant to Hans-Wolfgang Strätz at the chair for legal history , church law and civil law at the University of Konstanz, where he did his doctorate on the development of parental rights in the civil code .

From 2002 to 2010 Benkert worked as a lawyer and specialist lawyer for labor law for the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. In 2010 he founded a law firm based in Frankfurt am Main together with Lars Friske, Bernhard Maluch and Andreas Rasner.

In April 2011, Benkert was appointed professor for civil law as well as German and international labor and business law at the GGS. His main research interests are German and European labor law, compliance and methodology .
