Daniel Brodmeier (born September 2, 1987 in Kelheim ) is a German marksman specializing in small bore rifles (KK).

Daniel Brodmeier lives in Niederlauterbach and works as an electronics technician for devices and systems. The member of the B national team starts in the hall for 1882 and is trained by Mario Gonsierowski. He was initially successful as a junior. At the World Championships in Zagreb he won the silver medal in the prone position and bronze in the three-position fight . A year later he won bronze again in the three-position fight at the Junior European Championships in Granada and was fifth in the prone position.

Since 2010 Brodmeier starts internationally with men. The first major event was the World Championships in Munich, where he finished eighth in the prone team competition with Julian Justus and Henri Junghänel , fifth in the three-position fight with Julian Justus and Maik Eckhardt , and ranks 17 and 15 in the individual prone and three-position competitions. In 2011 the European Championships followed in Belgrade . Brodmeier won the silver medal in prone with Junghänel and Eckhardt and missed another medal with Justus and Eckhardt in fourth place by one place. In the individual three-position fight, he came in 17th and was 42 in prone. With his EM placements, Brodmeier secured a third German quota for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London . At the end of March, he qualified for both small-bore competitions with a fifth place in the World Cup. In the prone position, he was one of the few German sport shooters to reach the Olympic final and ended up fifth with 103.2 rings. He was the only final participant to score a perfect 10.9. An even better ranking was prevented by a bad location with too many environmental influences in the qualification. At the 2014 World Championships, he won the silver medal in prone shooting with the small-bore rifle. In 2016, Brodmeier took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for the second time . In prone he was eliminated from the qualification, in the three-position fight he reached the final and took fourth place.
