Daniel Kaufmann (born December 22, 1990 in Grabs , Switzerland ) is a Liechtenstein football player . The central defender is a Liechtenstein national player and has been under contract with FC Vaduz since July 2012 , but is currently on loan to FC Balzers .

Career

Kaufmann spent his youth career at FC Balzers . He made his professional debut in October 2008 on the 8th matchday of the 2nd interregional league against FC Bazenheid , which was won 3-1. In 2011 he switched to USV Eschen-Mauren for one season before signing a contract with FC Vaduz until 2016 . He made his first game for the Vaduz team in the Challenge League on matchday 6 against FC Biel-Bienne . He came as a central defender and played 90 minutes. In January 2016, FC Vaduz extended its contract for another two years until summer 2018.

National team

Kaufmann made his debut on June 3, 2009 in a 0-1 defeat in a friendly against Bosnia in the Liechtenstein U-21 national team . In November 2010, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time and was used for 90 minutes in the friendly against Estonia . In the 1-0 win in the friendly against San Marino on March 31, 2015, he scored his first goal for the national team.
