The Challenge League will be held for the second time with ten teams. For the second time, the Challenge League gets a title sponsor after Dosenbach left after just one season in 2009, and is now called the Brack.ch Challenge League in full.
As in the Super League, the ten clubs each play four times against each opponent, twice in their home stadiums and twice away. In total, each team plays 36 games.
The first placed will be promoted to the Super League at the end of the season, the last placed to the 1st division promotion.
