The Stadio Comunale (full name: Stadio Comunale Riva IV ) is located in the municipality of Chiasso and is home to the football club FC Chiasso . The football stadium was built in 1969 and is owned by the municipality of Chiasso.
The total capacity is 11,168 places. Of these, 1,168 seats are on the covered main grandstand and 10,000 are standing on the concrete steps around the square. The playing area consists of natural grass and is surrounded by a 6-lane athletics facility. Eight lanes are available on the 100 m or 110 m hurdles course. In addition to the main square, there is also a side square measuring 100 × 62 m, a sand court measuring 67 × 59 m and a small lawn area measuring 60 × 30 m.
