Daniel Krumholz

Daniel Krumholz (born December 7, 1948 ) is an Austrian diplomat . He was the Austrian ambassador to Guatemala (1995 to 1999), Brazil (1999 to 2004) and Denmark (2009 to 2013).

Life

Daniel Krumholz obtained his Doctor iuris degree in 1971 . He attended the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna from 1972 to 1974. From 1975 to 1976 he worked for the Austrian Chamber of Commerce , then until 1979 for the Austrian Foreign Trade Office in Caracas , Venezuela .

He is considered a connoisseur of the writer Stefan Zweig .

Daniel Krumholz is married.

Diplomatic career

He joined the Austrian Foreign Service in 1980. His posts included assignments in the embassy in Brasília (1983 to 1987), the Consulate General in New York (1987 to 1990) and the Foreign Ministry in Vienna (1990 to 1994 and 2005 to 2009).

Daniel Krumholz held his first ambassadorial post from 1995 to 1999 as the Austrian ambassador in the former embassy in Guatemala with accreditation for Guatemala, Costa Rica , El Salvador , Honduras and Nicaragua . From 1999 to 2004 he was ambassador to Brazil. From 2009 to 2013 he was the successor to Erwin Kubesch , who became Ambassador to Slovenia , Ambassador to Denmark, accredited for Denmark and Iceland . His successor in Denmark is Ernst-Peter Brezovszky .
