Daniel Mixich (born September 5, 1997 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player . Mixich is 1.82 meters tall, holds the position of playmaker and has been part of the squad of the second division Paderborn since 2018.

Career

Mixich was born in Berlin to parents from Romania and grew up in the Zehlendorf district . At the BG Zehlendorf his basketball club career began at the age of five, he later attended the school and competitive sports center in Berlin . In 2009 Mixich moved to RSV Eintracht 1949 Teltow-Kleinmachnow-Stahnsdorf and from 2011 played for the International Berlin Basketball Academy (IBBA), with which the RSV worked together, in the youth basketball league . In the 2012/13 season Mixich scored the first minutes of action for Eintracht's men's team in the third-class 2. Bundesliga ProB .

In 2014 he went to the second division club BV Chemnitz 99 , joined the club's ProA squad and also played in the Chemnitz youth team, namely in the U19 team in the youth basketball league . He also attended the local sports high school. In spring 2017 he reached the ProA semi-finals with the 99ers and was about to take part in the finals and, associated with it, promotion to the Bundesliga. However, a lead of 2-0 victories was not enough, Mixich and Chemnitz were defeated by Gotha 2-3. He finished the 2016/17 season with an average of 3.9 points and 1.4 assists (27 games).

In the summer break of 2018 he was signed by Uni Baskets Paderborn (2nd Bundesliga ProA).

National team

Mixich played for the German U18 team and was part of the extended squad of the U20 national team in 2016.
