Daniel Musiol (born March 27, 1983 in Cottbus ) is a former German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

Daniel Musiol won German championship titles in the youth and junior division on the track in the points trial and team pursuit as well as on the road in the team time trial . In the elite category, he won a stage in the Tour de la Guadeloupe in 2003 .

He received his first contract with an international cycling team in 2005 with the German Professional Continental Team Wiesenhof . His greatest career success was the mountain classification victory of the Deutschland Tour 2008 . Musiol, not a qualified mountain rider, won the mountain classification leader's dotted jersey by attempting to break away on the first stage, which he was able to defend on the following stages by further placements in smaller climbs.

In the 2010 season he became a club driver at RSV Irschenberg after he had not been offered a contract with acceptable terms by his last team, Volksbank, or another international team.
